You will be exploring the landscape at dusk and carrying a geolight to help us create patterns and images in the landscape.
There are different surfaces that you will be walking and moving on from tarmacked road to gravel paths. The route is relatively flat but there is a gradient at particular points.
We will help to make it possible for people with access needs to take part wherever possible. Please let us know your access needs when you sign up to take part.
Some sites are more accessible than others – we will be providing more information here about the activities involved, walking level difficulty and accessibility in the future.
Lying in the heart of Northern Ireland, the Sperrin AONB encompasses a largely mountainous area of great geological complexity. Stretching from the Strule Valley in the west to the perimeter of the Lough Neagh lowlands in the east, this area presents vast expanses of moorland penetrated by narrow glens and deep valleys.
In its south, the Burren area is noted for its lakes, sandy eskers (ridges) and other glacial features. The area is rich in historic and archaeological heritage and folklore.
This is your chance to be part of something truly special, but you can’t just turn up on the day, you do need to book your place in advance. This is important to make sure we manage numbers of people at the events to protect these amazing landscapes.
