Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri/Snowdonia National Park’s astonishing landscapes attract millions of visitors. Around 600,000 people hike to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) every year.
One of the Park’s biggest challenges is visitor pressure. To respect this and help to protect the Park, Green Space Dark Skies will be working with local performers to create an artwork for the Finale on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), and will not be recruiting Lumenators to take part in activity on the mountain.
Standing at over 3,000 feet, Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) is the highest mountain in the National Park and undoubtedly Snowdonia’s most popular summit.
Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) is an iconic mountain known throughout the world. It is most popular for its challenging walks, but the majority of the land is home to several mountain farms. The mountain also supports rare wildlife and has been designated a National Nature Reserve for its unique flora and fauna.
