Find out about the inspiration behind Green Space Dark Skies

This year marked the 90th Anniversary of the Kinder Scout Mass Trespass, a landmark event for the Right to Roam movement in the UK.

This anniversary was the inspiration behind Green Space Dark Skies. This summer we explore our connection to our countryside in 20 stunning locations across the UK.

In our introductory film we speak with our partners about how and why they became involved in Green Space Dark Skies.

You can hear from Rob Smith (Board member, UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK), Annabel Ohene (Siemens Graduate Engineer), Fiona Harrower (Senior Visitor Experience Officer, National Trust), and Alastair Barber (Director of Communications, National Parks UK). We also heard from two young Lumenators at our first event in Ilam Park in the Peak District National Park as they shared their experience of Green Space Dark Skies.
