Lumenator Portraits by Garry Cook

Were you one of the Lumenators who took part in our first ever Green Space Dark Skies events at Dinas Dinlle, Caernarfon or Ilam Park in the Peak District National Park?

If so, you helped to bring about something truly magical and we thank you. You may also remember photographer Garry Cook asking you to pose for a portrait on the day.

These inspiring photographs are now available to browse below. They are a snapshot of the incredible individuals who came together to test out our Geolights at the Iron Age hillfort of Dinas Dinlle on Saturday 19 March and create patterns in the beautiful setting of Ilam Park in the Peak District on 23 April – the eve of the 90th anniversary of the Kinder Scout Mass Trespass.

These events were only possible because of the time, dedication and creativity of the people involved: we want to capture your memories and experiences from the day.

So please message us at info@greenspacedarkskies.uk and tell us if you see yourself in one of the portraits below and we’d be happy to arrange to send you a digital version of the image.

And if you haven’t already, please share your recollections from the day at Green Space Stories, our citizen science project all about our relationship with the landscape, and you could win a prize too.
